オーヴァーシーズのファーストモデルとして名高いRef.42042。
37mmケースに約9mmという薄型設計は、ラグジュアリースポーツでありながら、ドレスウォッチのような快適な装着感を実現しています。ノーチラスやロイヤルオークに次ぐ存在として語られることも多く、現在も高い評価を受け続けている定番モデルです。
本個体は一見、希少なカッパーダイヤルにも見えますが、実際にはオリジナルのブルーダイヤルが経年変化によって変色したトロピカルダイヤルです。ケーシングされているため正面からは確認できませんが、文字盤外周には本来のブルーがわずかに残っており、今回実施したメーカーでのコンプリートサービスにおいても、オリジナルダイヤルとしてそのまま通過しております。
コンプリートサービスは2025年9月に完了し、あわせてブレスレットの交換およびアーカイブの取得も完了しております。コレクション性と実用性の双方を高い次元で満たした、完成度の高い一本です。

The Ref. 42042 is widely known as the first generation of the Overseas.
With its 37mm case and a slim profile of approximately 9mm, it offers exceptional wearing comfort, combining the character of a luxury sports watch with the elegance of a dress watch. Often mentioned alongside the Nautilus and Royal Oak, it remains a highly regarded and established model to this day.
At first glance, this example may appear to feature a rare copper dial. In reality, it is an original blue dial that has naturally transformed over time into a tropical dial. Due to the casing, this cannot be seen from the front; however, traces of the original blue remain along the outer edge of the dial. During the manufacturer’s complete service, the dial was officially confirmed and accepted as original.
In September 2025, the watch underwent a complete service by the manufacturer. At the same time, the bracelet was replaced and an official archive extract was obtained. This is a highly complete piece that excels in both collectability and practicality.
