Description
Manufactured in the 1960s, REF.648A had a 36mm case, which was large for its time. It is often compared to the similarly designed REF.666 "Ingenieur," but this model has a snap-on caseback, which reduces the thickness of the case and gives it a more dressier character.
It has a simple design with a silver dial, dauphine hands and shell indexes, giving it a relaxed atmosphere. The dial shows some ageing, but this does not impair legibility, and the case retains its sharp proportions.
