While all Day-Date watches were available in solid materials, Ref. 1601 has very few solid models, and among them, 14K models are even rarer than 18K models.
This particular model is composed of a 14K yellow gold case, non-luminous dial and alpha hands, and a fluted bezel with fine indentations. It is also equipped with a "butterfly rotor" found only on early Cal. 1560 models, making it a rare piece with all the rare details.
