特筆すべきは、角度によってウッドダイヤルのようにも見える赤茶色のトロピカルダイヤルです。本来は艶のあるブラックのギルトダイヤルですが、本個体は長い年月を経て独特のエイジングが現れています。ブラックの表面は赤茶色のまだら模様へと変化し、表面にはわずかなざらつきが見られます。その質感は模様と相まって、光の角度によって木目のようにも見える独特の表情を生み出しています。
Condition
文字盤には特有のパティナが見られますが、気になる劣化はなく良好なコンディションを保っています。針には腐食によるわずかな曇りが見られる程度です。ケースおよびブレスレットには全体として自然なスレ傷が見られますが、目立つダメージはありません。ベゼルやケースエッジの摩耗もほとんど見られず、全体のフォルムは良好に保たれています。ブレスレットについても伸びはほとんど感じられません。ムーブメントは当店にてオーバーホール済みで、動作は良好です。

ROLEX Ref.1601. The combination of a white gold fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet is the signature style that makes the Datejust instantly recognizable. Its well-balanced design has remained timeless and continues to represent one of Rolex’s flagship models.
The most notable feature of this example is the reddish-brown tropical dial that can resemble a wood-grain surface depending on the angle of light. Originally finished as a glossy black mirror dial, it has developed a distinctive aging over time. The black surface has gradually transformed into a mottled reddish-brown tone, and a slight texture has appeared on the dial. Together with the irregular pattern, this creates a unique expression that can appear almost like a wood dial when viewed from different angles.
Condition
The dial shows characteristic patina but no concerning deterioration and remains in good condition. The hands show only slight dullness from minor corrosion. The case and bracelet display natural signs of wear consistent with age, but there are no notable damages. The bezel and case edges remain well defined with minimal signs of wear, and the overall case proportions are well preserved. The bracelet shows very little stretch. The movement has been overhauled by our workshop and is running well.
